Nov 30 – Monday – Spring Net Tour

On Monday, November 30 the AITP members are invited to tour Springfield Underground (Springnet). This is a great opportunity to see a state-of-the-art technology center, and a utility that is vital to many Springfield businesses. If you would like to attend, you are welcome to join us. The tour starts at 4:00pm.

Due the intense security at this facility, we have some restrictions to follow. First, we are not allowed to bring more than 10 cars into the facility parking lot. So we will be carpooling from MSU and/or a business near the entrance. We’ll send out more information about that closer to the date of the tour.

We must submit a list of guest names to the Springnet manager 24 hours prior to our visit. Since this is the Monday after Thanksgiving, I’ll submit names on the Tuesday before (since we are out Wed-Fri). There is a sign-up sheet for those who want to attend in the CIS office. **PLEASE SIGN UP IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND**. It is on the credenza beside the door to faculty offices. Only the names on this list that we send in will be admitted into the facility. We’ll contact the names on the list by e-mail with carpool information.

We have to show a government issued photo ID when we get to the facility.

Michelle Hulett, Faculty Advisor
