Christy Lindgren, Missouri State alumna, is scheduled to present her professional research “Space and Function in the Early Irish Monastery,” as part of the First Friday Art Walk on Sept. 7, from 6-7 p.m. at the Park Central Branch Library.
Lindren’s presentation expands upon a talk that she gave at the annual intercollegiate Art History Symposium, a competitive symposium coordinated by Dr. Catherine Jolivette, Department of Art and Design at Missouri State. The presentation is followed by a question and answer session.
The First Friday Art Walk takes place in Downtown Springfield the first Friday of every month and features original art, live music, and much more at various galleries and venues. The Park Central Branch Library’s public presentations on art history are coordinated by Dr. Billie Follensbee, Department of Art and Design at Missouri State and Kelly Miller, Director of the Park central Branch Library.
Christy Lindgren, formerly Christy Mustari, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in drawing with an art history minor in 2011.
