Cory Powell’s photographic work featured in series of upcoming exhibitions
One of Art and Design photo student Cory Powell’s new color photographs has been selected for a portfolio of photographic images sponsored by the MultiCultural Caucus of the Society for Photographic Education. Entitled “What Keeps You Up at Night”, this portfolio was curated by Tomiko Jones, Coordinator of the Photography Program at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. There are five copies of this portfolio which addresses a variety of contemporary social and political issues such as gun violence, economic inequities, ecological imperatives, and questions of personal identity. One portfolio will first be exhibited at the Chroma Gallery in San Francisco and then travel to additional venues throughout the United States. The remaining four portfolios will be donated to prominent photographic collections. Congratulations, Cory.
