About Megan O'Rourke
Megan O’Rourke is the Associate Director of the Disability Resource Center-Access Technology Centerat Missouri State University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations, a Master of Science in Administration with an emphasis in Communication, and a graduate certificate in Conflict & Dispute Resolution from Missouri State University. Megan also received training from Washington University St. Louis Law School in the areas of Family and Civil mediation. After working in the field of public relations for six years Megan chose to follow a passion for working with individuals with disabilities. She attended Western Michigan University where she earned a Master of Arts in Orientation & Mobility. Megan is also internationally certified as an orientation and mobility specialist (COMS). Prior to moving back to Springfield, Megan was President & CEO of O’Rourke Training & Consulting LLC. During that time she provided travel and access technology instruction to individuals with disabilities in southwest Michigan.
Megan is currently a member of AHEAD, ATHEN, RESNA, and VI Professionals of Southwest Missouri.
