It’s that time of year already. Midterms have officially arrived. As you all talk to your students you may realize that they seem a bit more on edge or more stressed than they usually are. This is the halfway point in the semester and most professor are handing out test like Halloween candy.
The best way to help your student navigate this time is to listen to what they have to say even if it worries you or stresses you out. Reassure them that everything will be ok and as always send them food and money. Care packages are a great way to surprise your student and to help relieve some of their stress. It may be a good idea to send some home cooked food or baked goods to give them a sense of home while they are here and to help them feel more at ease.
If your student isn’t stressed about midterms this could be a good thing meaning that they are on top of things or it could be a bad thing and they aren’t on top of things. Either way food and money is the way to go!
Just a heads up, next week is homecoming and so your student might be a little more busy than usual. I promise they still love you, but if you don’t get to talk to them as much just know that they are having a great time and showing their MSU pride!
