College is a great time to broaden your experiences on and off campus. Even WAY off campus. Has there ever been somewhere in the world you are craving to visit? Or some monument you are dying to see? The Study Away Program allows you to experience all these things at a global level while making it affordable and providing opportunities for college credit.
If you have never heard anything about the Study Away program before, the first step is to go to a “Nuts and Bolts of Studying Away” informational meeting in the PSU (next one will be February 26th at noon) or go visit the Study Away office. The website is also a good resource, providing a wealth of information.
One of the most appealing things about the program is that they have ways to make these worldwide educational experiences affordable for you. They also have many different study away options to choose from. Whether it’s a short-term course during summer, winter or spring break, or a longer course for an entire year or semester.
As I mentioned earlier, many study away programs also provide an opportunity for college credit for certain classes. Whatever your travel dreams are, I guarantee Study Away has an option for you. On their website there is also a page dedicated directly to families. This is useful to ease the stress or concern families might have when you tell them you want to fly half way around the world.
I hope I have at least peaked your interest in this unique and vast program here at Missouri State. I encourage all of you to take a look into what the world can offer you. For more information visit the Study Away website.
