Green Dot is a bystander intervention program set to permanently reduce power-based personal violence (sexual assault, domestic/dating violence and stalking) on our campus and community. The Green Dot strategy will launch on our campus during the 2016-2017 academic year.
Year 1 was great for the Green Dot Office but this next year is OUR year! One part of the Green Dot strategy is the visual aspect so expect to see MORE posters, MORE banners, MORE giveaways and MORE Green Dot gear. We recently purchased a Green Dot informational banner to display around campus. Follow the banner on its journey across campus; it may even show up somewhere unexpected.
Our goal this year is to spread the message more broadly to all campus community members that violence will not be tolerated at Missouri State University and everyone is expected to do their part in violence prevention (that includes faculty, staff and administration)! We hope with MORE ways to reach out and MORE ways to get involved in Green Dot; this will help keep our campus safe so we can be successful because…a safe campus is a successful campus. What’s your Green Dot?
