Dr. Duane Meyer, who spent 40 years teaching in the History Department and serving in leadership positions at Missouri State University, including as the university’s sixth President, died Sunday, November 22nd. Survived by his wife Lyn, he was 89. Joining the History faculty in 1955, Dr. Meyer later served as Dean and then as President from 1971 until 1983.
