SPRINGFIELD — Students from Missouri State University won 1st place in Design and Innovation at the annual Robotics Manipulator competition in Louisville, Kentucky. The national competition included fourteen schools from around the country such as Iowa State and Cal Poly. The competition was held Nov. 12th and 13th and hosted by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
“The ATMAE competition provides students with a great opportunity to apply their technical and managerial skills and showcase them in a national competition. The Missouri State students put together an excellent design,” said Technology and Construction Management Department faculty and team advisor Martin Jones.
In addition to the 1st place, the robotics team was also recognized with a 2nd place award in controls methodology. Competition team leaders included students Chad Pepemiller and Christopher Hughey.

Hope we can continue this success at Battle Bots this spring. Some of the team members will be graduating in December and we will need all the help we can get with our battle bot. So, let me know if you would like to participate
