October 3 Continued Space Planning Meeting with Cannon (1-5 PM)
CNAS Leadership met with Cannon Design (firm hired by MSU to review space needs for CNAS and CHHS due to enrollment increases) on August 28, August 30 and September 19. The meetings to date have been to clearly define current space and to identify needs. At this point Cannon has identified a number of renovation needs but we are also requesting a large computer lab for mathematics (80-100 stations), two new teaching labs for chemistry, one new teaching lab for biology and several new research labs (unassigned at this point). Cannon Design is to have a final report by mid-November. I would expect that we might begin hearing about suggested scenarios at our next meeting on October 3. We will follow that meeting with several open meetings for all interested faculty/staff/students in CNAS so you will have an opportunity to provide feedback to this process.
