Fall 2013 Public Affairs Convocation Lecture–Blake Mycoskie
Date: Monday, November 11; Time: 7 p.m.; Location: JQH Arena
If you are interested in sitting with your CNAS friends (faculty, staff and students) we are meeting in Temple Hall (pit area) at 6:15 to walk over to the convocation. It will be best to pick up your free ticket prior to November 11 but they will also be available at the door.
Green Kiosk—Sustainability on the MSU Campus – Monitoring utility consumption is key to keeping costs low. The Office of Energy Management recently purchased an energy dashboard called Green Kiosk to monitor this and educate the campus community on Missouri State’s sustainability efforts.
The NCATE (CAEP) accreditation focused visit on diversity went well. We will get official notice in April of 2014. Thank you to all faculty and staff in CNAS who helped to prepare for this visit and participated during the visit!
DATES –
- November 5 – Space Planning meeting for CNAS (STEM only) will be from 8-9:45 AM in Temple Hall room 326. By the end of the day I should know when their final report will be submitted. There is a meeting in the afternoon with Clif Smart, Frank Einhellig and Ken McClure. I will be asking them about timelines for an action plan that might be developed following this report. I will report on outcomes in the next CNAS News on November 18.
- November 8 – Promotion/tenure – Department heads must have written evaluation/recommendations to faculty by this date. Faculty member has three days to review, respond, sign and return to department head. All materials must be in the dean’s office by November 14. Please make sure you have used the latest forms and that everything is signed prior to arrival in the dean’s office.
- November 14 – All course fee proposals and program fee proposals (final drafts) are due today.
- November 14 – CNAS Leadership Meeting at 2:00 PM
- November 18 – BIO and GGP must have their revised RPT plans to the dean for review. I will be using the template provided by the provost office to review these.
- November 21 – The provost’s office will hold a workshop to describe how to apply for the PSIP. All CNAS faculty are invited to attend, 3:30 PM, Carrington 208 (auditorium)
- December 13 – Faculty applications for PSIP due to dean’s office.
