A video has been posted on the website of an interview with BIO grad student Leslie Brinkman and undergrad Valerie Jones. Leslie’s thesis research is a study of salamanders in Panama. As a bonus, you will also see images of salamanders. Leslie’s advisor is Brian Greene. Beth Bowles – Congratulations on your award from Oklahoma State University to help them with part of their project from the US Environmental Protection Agency!
Bob Pavlowsky and Marc Owen – Congratulations on once again receiving a contract with Nixa for the James River MS4/TMDL monitoring implementation!
Peter Plavchan has been appointed for an additional year to serve on the NASA Exoplanet Exploration Program Analysis Group as an executive committee member. Congratulations!

There are a number of opportunities in January/February to interact with future students –
January 31 – Presidential Scholarship Interviews will take place on this date. The college will set up a table to answer questions about our majors.
Missouri HS counselors will be bringing more than 500 students to campus on February 4 and 11.
February 21 – Interviews for Multicultural Scholarships will take place on this date. The college will set up a table to answer questions about our majors.

CNAS Public Lectures are scheduled for February 10 (Brian Greene), March 17 (Laszlo Kovacs) and April 7 (Kevin Evans). All public lectures begin at 7:30 PM in Temple Hall 002.
