Updates before Summer Session 2016
The first is a summary of salary increases that will be approved at the June 10 meeting of the Board of Governors.
The CNAS Budget Committee is meeting next week to determine the best use of some new money for a faculty hire. We received $62,000 in new money based on enrollment increases last year. This will fund $46,000 in salary plus fringe. I have an additional $57,000 in salary savings that could be added to this so hopefully we can add two additional searches to our list.
If you have ideas, please talk to your reps to the CNAS budget committee prior to Monday afternoon, June 6. Several departmental searches have been tentatively approved and my goal is to have all approved before the end of June so people can get started with searches.
A list of summer activities will be sent next week along with news that occurred during break.
If you have news – please send it to David Szepatowski.
