Jazz Studies Fall Concert
The music department presents the Jazz Studies Fall Concert with performances by students in the Jazz Studies program. Featured guest artist for the evening, Steve Wiest, plays trombone.
Thursday, Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m. at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

Springfield Jazz Festival
Enjoy a night of live jazz at The 3rd Annual Springfield Jazz Festival in Downtown Springfield on Friday, Oct. 5. The event began as a collaboration between MSU’s Jazz Studies program and a small committee of local jazz enthusiasts, and has since grown into a collaboration with the City of Springfield and other community groups. As part of the First Friday Art Walk, there are many other activities taking place, including a showing of the “Diversity of Jazz” art contest entries at the Abundant Life Covenant Church.
