Representatives of the University of Andres Bello (UNAB) were on the Missouri State University campus today (Nov. 26) to sign a unique partnership agreement.
The partnership with Missouri State allows UNAB students who have completed four years of undergraduate work to come to Springfield and to enroll in the Master’s in Business Administration program. Students will earn their undergraduate degree from UNAB along with a commercial engineering license, and then an MBA from Missouri State.
“Andres Bello is a great university and Missouri State looks forward to working with this university and its students,” said Steve Robinette, associate vice president for international programs at Missouri State. “This agreement is part of the larger emphasis for Missouri State to form more partnerships with universities in South America, to have more students from South America to attend classes in Springfield and to have more of our students study in South America.”
Dr. Jorge Marshall Rivera, dean of the UNAB Business School, signed the agreement along with Dr. Stephanie Bryant, dean of the Missouri State College of Business. Marshall completed his doctoral degree in the United States and has visited and done business in the United States many times.
UNAB is Chile’s largest university with more than 42,000 students and is located in Santiago, Chile. The university has over 70 undergraduate programs and 50 graduate programs. UNAB is the only private institution accredited in the area of research in Chile. It has more than 3,600 faculty members and has been recognized for over six years as the best private university in Chile by the Higher Education Barometer.
UNAB has been chosen as one of the 75 top universities in Latin American in the resent QS World University Rankings 2011-2012. The institution was granted institutional accreditation in 2004 (among the first 11 institutions in Chile) and is also a candidate for international accreditation with the Middle State Commission for Higher Education. http://news.missouristate.edu/2012/11/26/missouri-state-university-partners-with-university-of-andres-bello/
