Congratulations are in order for 446 COB students who recently became alumni. The fall graduation ceremony was held at the John Q. Hammons Arena on Friday, December 13, 2013. During the ceremony COB faculty and staff were proud to see undergraduate and graduate students receive their diplomas. The COB Executive Master’s in Health Administration Program graduated the first cohort group from Mercy Springfield. This group was given a special shout-out during the ceremony from Missouri State President Clif Smart.
Prior to the graduation ceremony, two specific groups of COB students gathered to recognize their accomplishments. One group, students graduating from the Entertainment Management (EM) undergraduate program, gathered in the Juanita K. Hammons Hall atrium with family, friends and EM faculty for a reception and recognition ceremony. Graduates were individually recognized and had the chance to reminisce about all they had accomplished while COB students. A second group, students graduating from undergraduate or graduate programs in Technology and Construction Management and Interior Design, were honored at an official hard hat ceremony, where you guessed it, they received their official MSU hard hats. These students were also individually recognized and had the opportunity to introduce their families to their MSU faculty members.
During the week leading up to the graduation ceremony, COB honored each of its graduating graduate assistants and student workers by posting congratulatory messages and photos on the COB Facebook and Twitter accounts. These photos can be seen on the MSU Commencement TagBoard website. A compilation of several videos from graduation can also be found on this site.
Congratulations to all of our newest alumni, and from all of us in the COB, we look forward to seeing you at many MarooNation events in the future!
