Nancy Allen, senior instructor in the Department of Finance and General Business, will be releasing the second book in her legal thriller series published by Harper Collins Inc. on February 17, 2015. A Killing at the Creek will first be available in digital format, under the HarperCollins William Morrow/Witness imprint. Allen, a former Greene County Assistant Prosecutor and Assistant Missouri Attorney General, draws on her trial experience when crafting the novels. Currently, she teaches LAW 231, Legal Environment of Business, in the College of Business.
Christopher Hines, assistant professor in the School of Accountancy was recently notified his paper entitled, “Voluntary Risk Management Committee Formation: Determinants and Short-Term Outcomes,” will appear in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy. Co-author for the article is Gary Peters at the University of Arkansas.
Three Fashion and Interior Design assistant professors presented at the Annual ITAA (International Textile and Apparel Association) Conference in Charlotte, N.C. on November 13 and 14. Jenifer Roberts, Cathy Starr and Sandy Bailey provided a presentation and discussion entitled, “Hands on Opportunities for Students to Engage Faculty and Staff in Reality, Real World Merchandising Styling.”
