Hill Hall Move – Information
When moving out of Hill Hall, please return all keys for the building to Key Control.
Boxes (3 sizes) are still available in Hill Hall 130B. (Key is available in the Dean’s office)
Remember to use the small boxes for books due to weight issues.
After you have unpacked your boxes, please store them for reuse in the move back to Hill Hall.
Phones in Hill Hall need to stay in the building. (plugged in) New phones will be in your new location as you move. You will bring your new phone back with you when you return to Hill Hall.
- All CEFS Dept. – delivered to STRONG Departmental office.
- All RFT Dept. – delivered to Glen Isle Departmental office. (when the move is complete)
- Advising – delivered to STRONG
- Dean’s Office, Assoc. Dean (Dr. James Sottile), Field Experiences, and Certification- delivered to PCOB (when move is complete)
- Other individual moves – delivered to their relocated offices.
Labels
Color coated labels are available in the Dean’s office. Below is an instruction sheet on where to place the labels.
The black and gray labels are for items that are being stored for the full year. These items will not be accessible until we return to Hill after the renovation. Please try to get these items labeled as soon as you can. They will be picking these up as they can in between moves as time permits.
The yellow labels are to be put on the items that are summer storage only (3 months) and will be put somewhere in fall of 2017.
The green labels are for the move to your current location straight out of Hill Hall. You will also need to label your trash and paper recycle cans in your office.
On these labels please put:
- Department- i.e. RFT, Field Ex., Certification, Assoc. Dean’s office, Dean’s office
- Where they are going- Glen Isle, PCOB, Carr., GLS (room and cubicle)
- Name
- Extension
CEFS Departmental Office including two of their faculty and the Advisement Office have successfully moved to STRONG Hall-rooms 107 and 108.
Hill Hall Move – Packing Your Computer and Related Technologies
In regards to the packing of your computer and related technologies, please note the following items:
*Obtain one box from Larry or Leslie for your computer unit and one monitor. If you have two monitors, you will need two boxes (one small and one large).
*Obtain a large piece of wrapping paper from Larry or Leslie to wrap the monitors.
*You will need to disconnect your own computer and technologies (the movers will not disconnect your computer and technologies).
*Obtain the correct label from Rose. I suggest you “mark” the boxes in numerous areas because labels can fall off the box. The university will only providing one label per box.
*Save your boxes because the university will not provide new boxes related to the move back to Hill Hall.
*If you plan to use your computer and take it home, click on and complete the form below and provide it to your department head.
Hill Hall Move – Paper Recycling & Trash
There are numerous trash containers throughout the building for papers that do not need to be shredded.
Extra barrels (2-wheeled poly trash carts) either have been or will be placed on all floors. These will be emptied every Thursday and are for items to be discarded that are heavy such as books, journals, supplies.
