Dee Taylor is the 2014 recipient of the Don Ivie Memorial Scholarship award. Each year this award recognizes the most outstanding graduate student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Following close to twenty years in the mental health field as a counselor for adults in various programs, Dee has now worked for the California State Department of Health Care Services in the Mental Health Division for eight years. She is interested in working with programs that assist individuals with substance abuse and incarceration backgrounds. When not at work or school, Dee likes to practice martial arts – she has a second degree black belt in Cho Hwa Mo Yang Do and street defense.
