Saturday, October 1:
AIDS Walk (Phelps Grove Park)
Registration @ 9am, Walk @ 10am
Bring your families, your friends, and your dogs, and Step Forward with the AIDS Project of the Ozarks for a day of raising AIDS aware-ness and the much needed funds for those affected by HIV/AIDS in Southwest Missouri. Participation is free. Donations will be matched by MAC Cosmetics.
Monday, October 3:
Kick-Off (6pm, Bearpaw)
Come help us kick off LGBT History Month with style! There will be snacks, games, music, drag queens, and more!
Tuesday, October 4:
BB Lunch: “Transgender 101” (12pm, PSU317)
PROMO Deputy Director and MSU/Spectrum alum Stephanie Perkins leads a bring-your-lunch talk on the basics of transgender issues, terminology, and people.

SAC Films present The Kids Are All Right. Two children of lesbian parents conceived by artifi-cial insemination bring their birth father into their family life. Starring Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo.

LGBT Suicide Remembrance Vigil
(Carrington Hall steps, 8pm)
Remember and reflect on the tragic suicides of LGBT youth.

Students will be traveling to the conference where archivists from the Ozarks Lesbian & Gay Archives (OLGA) will be presenting.

National Coming Out Day Table (10am-4pm)
Celebrate National Comining Out Day with Spectrum! We will have a table in the PSU with resources on coming out, a “coming out” wardrobe photo op, and a bakesale!

The Moxie presents Inlaws and Outlaws. GLO Center 15th Anniversary Celebration

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center the Ozarks (GLO Center) is celebrating 15 years of service to the LGBT community in Springfield and the Ozarks. There will be music, root beer floats, and more! The event is free and
everyone is welcome!

Come see the talent MSU students have to offer! Singing, dancing, comedy, and more; hosted once again by the fabulous Victoria VonDutch! We ask for a toiletry donation to benefit AIDS Project of the Ozarks for

SAC presents comedian, actor, and gay icon Hal Sparks, best known for his starring role on Queer as Folk!

An informal discussion of the challenges facing both communities in affirming one another.
