The Missouri State University English Department is excited to announce a reading event next Tuesday evening, 7 p.m. September 27th in Plaster Student Union Theater. Guest poet Travis Mossotti is visiting campus and will be featured along with our own Sara Burge. There will be a book signing for both Travis and Sara after the reading in the Paw Prints Bookstore (located inside the PSU). We hope everyone is able to attend this wonderful reading.
Travis Mossotti has been an English Lecturer at the University of California Santa Cruz, McKendree University, and Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and he will continue teaching in St. Louis in the fall. He will be reading from his new book About the Dead (Utah State University Press, 2011). His work has been published in many journals and has earned many awards.
Sara Burge has published in River Styx, Cimarron Review, Court Green, and other prestigious journals. She won the De Novo Prize for first book of poetry for her book Apocalypse Ranch (C&R Press, 2010).
We encourage you to attend to get to know the creative and scholarly work of our faculty and the work of artistic or scholarly guests invited to campus by our department to present their work.
