Commissioner of Higher Education Remarks on Budget

About 10 days ago, the Commissioner of Higher Education, Dr. Robert Stein, distributed the attached memo to presidents and chancellors. In it, he describes what he sees for the Fiscal Year 2012 budget and suggests some options for addressing the budget cuts.

As a followup to the memo, Paul Wagner, deputy commissioner of the Missouri Department of Higher Education, will speak to the Missouri State campus community on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the Plaster Student Union Theater.  We hope that this meeting will serve to inform and provide a basis for further discussion as we prepare annual budgets and undertake a new long-range planning process.
