The next Town Hall meeting will be from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, in the Plaster Student Union Theater. All members of the campus community are invited to attend.
The focus of this meeting will be to further clarify options for various personnel-related strategies regarding the budget and to discuss several possible changes in how academic programs are delivered. The specific topics will include: 1) minimum class size requirements, 2) closing or suspending admissions to low enrollment programs, 3) evaluating the impact of academic minors, 4) evaluating the workloads for faculty, 5) requiring academically qualified administrators and staff to maintain teaching responsibilities, 6) expanding or introducing high-enrollment degree programs, 7) ensuring strong articulation agreements with 2-year schools for transfers, and 8) increasing instructional efficiency through new course delivery mechanisms.
