For the third time in five years, Missouri State University has won national recognition for its fundraising success, winning the 2013 Sustained Excellence in Educational Fundraising Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Of the nearly 1,000 colleges and universities considered, only 68 higher education institutions won an award.
The Sustained Excellence in Educational Fundraising Award recognizes those exemplary fundraising programs that have garnered a CASE award for educational fundraising in either overall performance or overall improvement in three of the last five years.
“It is an honor to have Missouri State University recognized for this national award and the entire university and our thousands of donors are to be thanked for their efforts,” said Brent Dunn, vice president for university advancement. “The fundraising success shows the generous private commitment to education and making Missouri State University a high quality education institution in the nation.”
Missouri State was selected for the award based on an analysis of fundraising data. A panel of judges selected winners based on several factors, including a pattern of growth in total support, overall breadth in program areas, pattern of donor growth, the impact of the 12 largest gifts on total support and more.
Other institutions receiving the Sustained Excellence in Educational Fundraising Award include Amherst College, Appalachian State University, University of California, Berkeley, SUNY Westchester Community College, United States Military Academy and Williams College.
The complete list of CASE institutional awards is available on the CASE website.
