Honored COB Professor continues making an impact on Missouri State students

Dr. Amy Stokes, Assistant Professor of Marketing, was inspired by Dr. R. Stephen Parker years ago when she attended Missouri State University where she obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Dr. Parker became a mentor to Amy, he supported her, and he believed in her, he saw great things and potential in her future long before she did. She credits Dr. Parker in large part in her current successes.

2013 ends with announcement of $8 million in new gifts to MSU

On December 18, 2013, thanks to the incredible generosity of donors and friends of Missouri State University like you, the MSU Foundation was able to cap off the year with the announcement of over $8 million in new gift commitments. The gifts, designated for various areas of the university, will significantly impact recruitment, academics, student life, scholarships, and athletics.

Donors making a difference

Run into T-Asia Mays, a sophomore in the Darr School of Agriculture at Missouri State University, and it is hard to imagine her as anything but a MSU Bear. Nearly always donned head-to-toe in Bear Wear (whether it is Friday or not), her love for the University and her Animal Science Program in the School of Agriculture is infectious.

Missouri Public Affairs Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet

Missouri State University and presenting sponsor the Strong-Garner-Bauer Law Firm will host the first Missouri Public Affairs Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet on Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Oasis Convention Center Paradise Ballroom, located at 2546 North Glenstone Avenue in Springfield. The event will recognize the first class of honorees inducted into the Hall of Fame, President Harry S. Truman, John C. “Jack” Danforth, and Dr. Donald M. Suggs.
