Donors making a difference

Choosing to start the Reverend John Bettmann Memorial Scholarship at Missouri State just made sense to Theresa Bettmann, a master’s student in the Social Work program at Missouri State. After an impactful semester in class with Dr. Lorene Stone, the professor that started the Al and Margaret Hemphill Scholarship, Bettmann knew just how she wanted to honor and memorialize her father’s sudden passing.

Diamonds really are forever for this family of Missouri State Bears

The Diamond Family in Manchester, Missouri was founded in 1978 by Rocky Haddad, and is now run by Rocky’s three sons. Michael, Anthony and Alex Haddad are all three Missouri State University alums each holding degrees within the College of Business. The Diamond Family is a sponsor at the MarooNation Ball in St. Louis on November 15, 2014.

Faces of the Foundation: Danielle (Dani) Hamilton

Dani Hamilton is a student at Missouri State University with a very large goal. She intends to finish her schooling without having any student debt. Thus far, she has succeeded in paying for school because of scholarships. She currently works in Donor Relations at the Missouri State University Foundation. She has said that this has been an excellent experience and a way for her to find her place and follow her passion.

Bright Lights, Big City: MarooNation Ball returns to St. Louis

Missouri State University is coming back to St. Louis for another unforgettable night of maroon and white fun! The MarooNation Ball is back for a second year. This time it is “Bright Lights, Big City” Missouri State style on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Palladium Saint Louis.

Foster family recognized with Bronze Bear award

In recognition of their long-standing involvement with and support of Missouri State University, the Foster family will receive the 2014 Bronze Bear Award. They will be the 16th recipient of the award, which is presented to those who have exhibited “extraordinary achievement and/or outstanding support” for Missouri State.

Davis-Harrington gift to support Missouri State welcome center

When Missouri State University’s new “front door” opens in fall 2015, it will be due in large part to a significant gift from Warren and Anne Davis and their family. In recognition of the gift, the building will be named the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center.
