- Husband, Chuck Busby, also works at Missouri State
Cindy Busby and her husband Chuck have contributed to Missouri State for many years. Not only do they both work for the University, they have established the Genevieve Roy Memorial Scholarship, in memory of her mother.
Cindy’s mother, Genevieve Roy was the principal’s secretary at Stockton High School for 18 years. Roy received her teaching certificate from Missouri State University in the early 1950s and taught in one-room schoolhouses before taking a break to raise her family. Roy passed away in 2005, and because of her love of students and education, they decided to honor her memory by creating a scholarship to assist students from Stockton who plan to attend Missouri State.
Cindy and Chuck frequently ride to work together and eat lunch together. In September, they will have been married for 33 years. They love to travel and spend time with family, especially nieces and nephews who they spoil every chance they get. In their spare time, they attend MSU sporting events and concerts.
The contributions that Cindy and Chuck Busby have made to the University help students on an annual basis and will continue to positively impact them for years to come.
