Sixty-one people attended the Specialty Crops Workshop was held last Thursday, May 13. We had a great Drängen lay-down work cart demonstration, high tunnel site discussion, and a tomato grafting demonstration. Our guest speakers as well as our faculty and staff presented information on cut flower, bedding plant, vegetable and fruit production with an emphasis on high tunnels. Shetler’s Cafe in Cabool catered lunch and features locally grown strawberries from Simpson’s Family Farm, Mountain Grove and a salad with locally grown lettuce from Big Creek Herb Farm in Yukon, Missouri.
