In the space of just over a month, we have lost two great friends of the arts. Earlier this week, Virginia Bussey passed away – leaving us with many memories of her warmth, cordiality, and great sense of humor as well as her passion for and support of the performing arts in our community. Virginia served on the Juanita K. Hammons Hall Advisory Committee for a number of years, she supported our programming both financially and with her cheerful presence at events, and she was, above all, a fine friend and a wonderful person to spend time with. We here at Hammons Hall will miss her very much – and we extend our condolences to her family.
