As the 12th largest city in the United States, Indianapolis once had one of the largest carbon footprints. The city took action to diminish the footprint by starting sustainable practices and now has established businesses focused on reducing harm to the environment. On this trip, we will be learning about and serving with organizations that have successfully implemented sustainable practices or are in the process of making Indy a healthier place to live. We will be focusing on bringing back what we’ve learned to make a positive difference in our own communities, and we will emphasize how we, as individuals, can be sustainable with our actions, and also by having a healthier mind and body.
