Campus community asked to help save energy

We will soon be enjoying a break for the holidays.  However, while most of us will be away, the University’s utility meters will keep on turning.

Please do your part to conserve energy and ensure our campus is safe from electrical hazards.  Before you depart for the holiday break, please do the following:

  • Make sure your windows are closed and locked
  • Make sure your doors are closed and locked
  • Turn off all unnecessary appliances
  • Turn off computers and printers
  • Turn off lights.

In 2011, we saved $6,234 in energy costs over the winter break of 2010.  Let’s see how we do this year.  Results will be posted in January.

Have a great and safe holiday season.
