Missouri State University’s 2013 Public Affairs Conference will be held April 9-12. This year’s theme is Inclusive Excellence.
Learn from many disciplines
As it has for the past eight years, the ninth annual conference will bring to campus prominent people from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds; from public, private and academic arenas; and from around the world. Please visit the Public Affairs Conference website for an updated schedule, artist, panelist and speaker information, and detailed panel descriptions.
Download mobile app
You can stay connected with all the conference activities, view the event schedule, learn more about each presenter, manage session schedules and have access to venue maps through the Public Affairs Conference mobile app.
Attend two hours
Because this conference is intended to stimulate thinking about a variety of interesting topics, employees may use up to two hours of their work time, in coordination with their supervisors, to attend the conference. I encourage you to attend, and I encourage supervisors to facilitate attendance by individuals in their offices or divisions.
Register through My Learning Connection
Again this year, you have the ability to track attendance at conference sessions through My Learning Connection. In order to evaluate attendance and, therefore, improve future conferences, please register online through My Learning Connection, which you can access through the Profile tab of My Missouri State. You can locate the sessions by searching under “Category” and selecting the “Public Affairs Conference” option.
For further information, please contact Dr. Gilbert Brown, provost fellow for public affairs and conference chair, at 65287 or gilbertbrown@missouristate.edu.
I look forward to seeing you at many of the conference sessions. Thank you.
