Nominations are being accepted for two advising-related awards that will be given by the Provost’s Academic Advising Council in March 2014. One is a new award that will be given for the first time this spring semester: the Excellence in Advising: Graduate Student Contribution award. This award is designed to recognize an individual graduate student’s demonstration of outstanding academic advisement or significant contribution to an academic advising-related project. The second award, the Excellence in Advising Support award, was introduced in 2013. This award recognizes an individual, team, or office who has made a significant contribution to support the field of academic advising and to support academic advisors in their ability to assist their advisees.
Further information about both awards is available on the Academic Advisement Center website. Complete nomination packets for both awards (5 copies) are due to the Academic Advisement Center no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24.
Please contact Kathy Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 836-5258 if you have questions about the nomination process or eligibility for the awards.
