Missouri State has engaged Dr. Lori Patton Davis, Ph.D., an expert in creating cultural centers in predominantly white institutions, to assist the University in the planning, development and expansion of multicultural programs and the Multicultural Resource Center.
Patton Davis, associate professor at Indiana University- Purdue, is a higher education scholar whose research agenda focuses on African Americans in post-secondary contexts, Critical Race Theory applied to higher education, college student development theory and the influence of campus environments on student experiences. She is also a well-known researcher and scholar in the area of cultural centers.
