16 students from our partner university, Southwest University in Chongqing, China started their one-month Media, Communications, and Culture Program with the International Leadership and Training Center on July 25th.
This program will help Southwest University students develop practical communication skills, gain cross-cultural experience, and learn about the media business in the United States.
The core of the program will feature English language courses designed to emphasize speaking and writing skills using content and situations common to the field of media and journalism. The program also will include a series of training workshops, class observation sessions, and site visits led by a team of instructors with professional experience in media, journalism and communications.
The Associate Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Southwest University leads the group of students, and he looks forward to future long-term exchange programs with Missouri State University.
