The Children’s and Young Adult Book Review Board of Missouri (BRB) is seeking interns to help manage our social media and marketing programs. This internship is unpaid, but offers great expereince to students!
Duties
- Work with BRB team to regularly update WordPress, Facebook offerings
- Write/edit short articles, interview current reviewers for WordPress, FB
- Update forms currently sent to volunteers to make them easier to use
- Take photographs, interview workshop participants
- Create attractive marketing pieces for BRB events
- Brainstorm with BRB team ways to utilize recent survey findings
- Brainstorm ways to connect with our communities and help us take action
- Supervise high school intern(s) to assist with above projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, in written work, and on the telephone
- Familiarity with WordPress and Facebook pages
- Knowledge of social media and its conventions
- Ability to represent the BRB with a high level of professionalism and customer service
Working Environment/What We Offer
- Work 4-6 hours a week, normally during the day Monday through Friday; hours are flexible
