Position title: Events Co-op
Academic level: Sophomore, junior, or senior in marketing, entertainment management, agri-business, communication majors (or related)
Wage: $9.00-9.50 (plus potential profit sharing)
Requirements: Co-op must not graduate before May 2018
Job Description, Responsibilities, and Expectations:
· Prepare for and attend a variety of corporate events
· Travel to and participate in events and inventories on occasion
· Manage customer databases
· Report basic information in Excel
This program not only provides valuable experience and a part-time job opportunity, but is also Meek’s major recruitment tool for post-graduation hiring. The ideal candidate will showcase attention to detail, strong organization skills, a cooperative attitude, a friendly demeanor and comfort in crowded social situations meeting new people, ability to manage multiple assignments at once, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. This position requires a driver’s license and the ability to lift heavy objects.
The co-op will receive raises at six-month intervals, qualify for profit sharing, and have the potential for full-time employment after graduation either at store level or in the corporate office. The co-op will work approximately 20–25 hours per week during semesters and 40 hours per week during the summer and school breaks if desired.
This position is at the General Office in Springfield, MO.
