Percussionist Travis Newman has been accepted into the percussion performance program at the prestigious Boston Conservatory. He has been offered scholarships totaling $20,000.
About the program
Newman will study with Nancy Zeltsman (coordinator of marimba studies, percussion program chair), Keith Aleo (director of percussion at Interlochen and the University of Connecticut), Kyle Brightwell (Boston Symphony Orchestra) and Samuel Solomon (coordinator of percussion studies).
About Newman
Newman, from Des Moines, Iowa, plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Music Education. Associate Professor Dr. Scott Cameron had high praise for him.
