The School of Nursing wishes to congratulate the BSN Generic May 2016 cohort for achieving 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The School of Nursing is one of only four programs in Missouri to achieve this benchmark in 2016. The undergraduate baccalaureate degree in nursing prepares students to work in any healthcare setting and provides them with a strong background in science and nursing theory.
We would also like to congratulate the first cohort of the BSN-DNP program who also achieved a 100 percent pass rate on The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP). The AANPCP assesses entry-level knowledge and clinical competencies of family nurse practitioner graduates. Board-certified FNPs may practice independently or under supervision of a physician at different primary care settings, depending on state of practice.
The School of Nursing congratulates the faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication to the department and their students. The academic coursework and clinical experience they have provided within these programs proved invaluable to the nursing students when taking nursing licensure and certification exams. The School of Nursing wishes all the students the best of luck in their careers and future endeavors.
