Missouri State University’s ETA CHI chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honors society, is currently recruiting new members. Membership in Pi Sigma Alpha entitles students to wear honor regalia at graduation (medal and cord). Additional information about the national organization may be found here: Pi Sigma Alpha.
The eligibility criteria* for membership in MSU’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha are as follows:
1. The student must have completed at least half of the hours required for the baccalaureate degree, i.e., he or she must currently be classified as a junior or senior.
2. The student must have completed at least ten credit hours of PLS coursework, including one upper-division course (300-level or above).
3. The student’s GPA in PLS courses must be a 3.25 or higher.
4. The student’s overall GPA must be a 3.5 or higher.
*While one does not have to be a PLS major or minor to qualify for membership, all candidates (PLS majors, PLS minors, etc.) must meet all four eligibility criteria.
