Global Studies graduate student, Tacarra Lake, spent four weeks this summer in Russia. At Moscow International University, Tacarra studied Russian language and also took courses in history and Russian foreign policy.
During her time in Moscow, Tacarra was a participant in bi-weekly roundtables at the university for Russian and U.S. students to meet and discuss relevant economic, social and political issues between both countries. In addition to being taught Russian foreign policy by Russian professors, the opportunity to study alongside local students in Moscow helped Tacarra to experience and learn about a Russia beyond the headlines.
