Please join the Political Science department, the Global Studies program, and the Strong Chair in Middle Eastern Politics for a lecture by Dr. Matteo Legrenzi entitled “The Saudi-Iranian Rivalry: Filling Contested Vacuums in the Middle East” to be given on Friday, April 24th at 5:00 in Karls Hall, Room 101, on the campus of Missouri State University.
Dr. Legrenzi holds a D.Phil. in International Relations and a M.Phil. in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from St. Antony’s College, Oxford University where he remains Visiting Academic. In Oxford he
is also Senior Research Associate at the Centre for International Studies of the Department of Politics and International Relations. He is an Associate Professor at the School of International Relations, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and is the President of the Italian Association for Middle Eastern Studies (SeSaMO). He studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo.
