Faculty Retirement Incentive Plan Implementation
On Friday, December 18, 2009, the Missouri State University Board of Governors formally approved a Faculty Retirement Incentive Plan. There are two information sessions to help answer any questions concerning the incentive.

To register for a Blackboard 8 workshop, please go to the Missouri State Online training page and select the workshop and date/time you are interested in attending. Workshop descriptions can also be found there. You must register in order to attend one of these sessions. One-on-One training is available by appointment at Missouri State Online. Class Size and Structure
These workshops are hands-on with practical examples and practice activities. Class size is limited to 12 with a minimum of 3 people registered the day before the class in order to hold the class. If minimum enrollment is not met, registered users will be notified and have the opportunity to register for another session or schedule one-on-one training.
Languages for Fun Spring 2010
Begins Tuesday, January 19
Missouri State University International Center and the Department of Modern and Classical Languages present Languages for Fun for spring 2010.
These courses will introduce you to the language in fun and creative ways, exploring new vocabulary and building on the basics learned during the fall 2009 semester. Registration fee for each course is $75. No textbooks are required.

The Public Affairs Professorship
An endowed Public Affairs Professorship position has been established at Missouri State University to recognize faculty who have excelled at enabling the University to carry out its Public Affairs mission.
The Public Affairs Professor will receive a stipend from the Missouri State University Foundation in the amount of $5,000 over and above his/her base salary with an additional $1,000 for expenses to carry out the work of this position. The parameters of this position will be outlined for the recipient in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) from the Office of the Provost.
Applications should be submitted to Rachelle L. Darabi, Associate Provost for Student Development and Public Affairs, University Hall, Room 115, by February 15, 2010.
