Power-up Sessions Begin Next Week!
The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning is offering a weekly schedule for one-hour workshops, seminars, or faculty panel discussions. These sessions are open to all faculty and other members of the instructional community. Each event will be offered twice during the same week and all sessions will be held in the FCTL Innovations Commons, Meyer Library Room 204.
The first session will be held next week.

Reading Group for Faculty: “The Joy of Teaching: A Practical Guide for New College Instructors”
Dates: Tuesdays, August 28, September 4, 11, and 18
Time: 2:00–2:50 p.m.
Location: Meyer Library 204
Dr. James Moyer, Professor or Religious Studies, will facilitate discussions on the book, “The Joy of Teaching” by Peter Filene. Dr. Moyer was honored with the MSU Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching in May 2012. He is an experienced mentor and freely shares his classroom experiences and teaching pedagogy. The reading group is recommended for any faculty member in their first five years of teaching.
Faculty may register through My Learning Connection. Each registered participant will receive a complimentary copy of the book.

These photos are perfect for your department’s website and print projects. This is a great opportunity for new faculty and staff members to have their pictures taken.
