Need your photo updated or a new one taken? Photographic Services will be taking portrait pictures of faculty, staff, and administrators free of charge! These photos are perfect for your department’s website and print projects. This is a great opportunity for new faculty and staff members to have their pictures taken. Professional or business casual attire is preferred. Please contact Chuck Busby, Office of the Provost, at 836-6495, if you have any questions.
Faculty and Staff Offered Complimentary Hearing Evaluations
The MSU CSD Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic is offering all Missouri State University faculty and staff a hearing evaluation at no charge if the clinic is contacted between August 19th and September 15th. The appointments will be scheduled based on available time slots during the fall semester.
If you would like to schedule an appointment, please e-mail your name, birth date, address, home phone number, work phone number, any concerns about your hearing, and if you wear a hearing aid to Diane Sandefur. You will then be contacted by phone to set up the appointment.

Dr. James Moyer Receives Excellence in Education Award
Dr. James Moyer, professor in the religious studies department, was named a recipient of the 2013 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education.
Public colleges and universities select Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education recipients on the basis of effective teaching, advising, service to the college community, and commitment to high standards of excellence. Other qualities include success in nurturing student achievement and the impact nominees have had on the academic and personal lives of their students. Applications for the award were considered by a committee of tenured faculty members.
