I have been talking a lot about reapplication–having our current students sign up for their living space next year. Well it is winding down and almost complete! So far we are up about 60 residents over last year! It’s always good and refreshing to know that residents are excited to come back to live in the halls next year! They are excited about the living environment they live in. We recently surveyed our residents and over 93% indicated that they would recommend living on-campus to new students. They know we are a good value. Again over 93% said that when comparing cost to quality the value of the residence hall experience was good! They know we stress academics. When asked if living on-campus has enhanced their learning experience over 88% indicated that living in the halls had helped them academically! National studies, as well as our own data, show that students who live on-campus perform better academically and graduate sooner than their counterparts living off-campus. We are confident that the final grades for fall 2008 will follow this trend as well!
Reapplication is about to come to a close and it’s all about getting ready to accommodate our incoming students for the 2009-10 academic year! We hope you are as excited about becoming a Bear as we are excited about having you live with us!
