On Tuesday, February 8, the Student Government Association approved the Elections Manual with the changes proposed by the Elections Commission.
Major changes this year include:
- the reduction of Presidential/Vice Presidential ticket budget to $1,000 American Dollars, excluding taxes,
- the limit on financial or material donations from any organization or individual to a ticket to no more than 50% of the budget’s limit to that respective campaign until that ticket’s expenditures have reached their respective spending limit,
- the reduction of campaign banners from ten to seven, and,
Additionally, the dates of elections this year have been set for Monday, April 4, 2011 to Wednesday April 6, 2011.
