SGA and Bear C.L.A.W. to Centralize Graduate School Preparatory Materials
The Student Government Association voted on and passed resolution GB FA09-10 which recommends that the Academic Affairs Committee and the Bear C.L.A.W. work to centralize graduate school preparatory materials.
According to the resolution Michael Frizell, Director of the Writing Center, expressed that he was willing to house the materials within the Bear C.L.A.W. Since the resolution’s passing, materials have begun to be relocated into the center.
Kristina Moller, Director of Academic Affairs for SGA, stated that she hopes the centralization of graduate preparatory materials will help students prepare for entrance into graduate school.
“We hope that by centralizing the many resources Missouri State currently offers to its students, we can make easier an already stressful process that can include choosing a school to attend, completing applications and resumes, and preparing for exams.”
Earlier this year, the Academic Affairs Committee worked with the library to ensure the purchase of nine new graduate school testing preparatory manuals.
“We will continue to work for more materials for those students wishing to continue their education beyond undergraduate school.”
