Meet Amanda Cooper, ATC/L.
Amanda is nearing completion of her first year as a Graduate student in our Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program. She also is employeed as a Graduate Assistant at
Mercy Sports Medicine.
Amanda comes to the MSU Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Department from Overland Park, Kansas. She attended the University of Tulsa for her undergraduate degree where she majored in Athletic Training and graduated in 2012.
When asked what she likes most about the MSAT program, she explains it has given her a much wider base of knowledge as a clinician. “I love that we have the chance to learn about movement as we practice our clinical skills” Amanda states. She also explains that she is excited about working with more patients in the clinic and applying what is being taught in class in her practice. Overall, Amanda is very positive about her first year in the Master’s program saying “the MSAT program has been an enjoyable way for me to further my education, as well as meet a lot of great people!”
