Recently, Dr. Siscoe announced the hiring of Jill Wiggins as the new Director of the Missouri State University Career Center.
Most recently, Jill Wiggins has served as Director of Career Planning & Development at Drury University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Spanish from Drury University and an M.B.A. from Missouri State University. She has her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute. She has nearly 17 years of experience in human resources, including 13 years specifically in career services. Prior to working at Drury she worked in corporate human resources and sales.
Jill is known for utilizing outstanding communication skills, collaboration, and creativity to work with diverse groups to realize exceptional outcomes. She has the reputation for delivering positive experiences whether that is through one-on-one appointments, classroom presentations, or meeting/communicating with numerous stakeholders including prospective students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, employers and board of trustee members.
She frequently consults with individuals and teams in various areas of career planning and development. Topics include business etiquette, assessment and understanding about differing personality styles/interests/skills/values, cover letters, resumes, interviewing, job search strategies, digital dirt, among others. She is also a frequent speaker at a variety of local, state and regional events and is regularly interviewed as a subject matter expert by the media. Additionally, she serves in a variety of roles within the community.
Jill is thrilled to be joining the Missouri State team and looks forward to building productive relationships that will benefit the entire MSU community.
Jill is originally from Denver, Colorado, and is a die-hard Denver Broncos fan! She and her husband, Dennis, have been married for 18 years and have two sons, Hayden (11) and Caleb (9). They are all excited to cheer on the Missouri State Bears!
