Missouri State’s Foster Recreation Center (FRC) was recently mentioned in an article in the New York Times! The article listed Missouri State University’s recreation center as one with state-of–the-art facilities, particularly its aquatic center. The new pool, which opened in 2012, contains a zip line, a lazy river, and the ability to host dive-in movies with the recent addition of a projector screen. The NYT article compared the FRC to recreation centers at schools such as Clemson University, Auburn, Michigan State, Mizzou, and Texas Tech. The article, published on September 19, 2014, discusses new trends and topics within campus recreation. The article can be found here. Congratulations to Missouri State’s Campus Recreation department on this honored distinction!
